If you have a missing tooth affecting your smile, experience loose or unreliable dentures, or are simply worried about a tooth that requires extraction, then keep on reading. You may be the perfect candidate for dental implants!

What are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is surgically fitted into the jawbone. We create our dental implants using a very strong biocompatible material, placing this within the jaw bone in just one, simple procedure.

We allow an initial healing period of 3-4 months, as this helps new bone to grow and fuse with the implant. We are then able to attach your fixed crown, replicating a natural tooth for a beautiful smile.

Other than replacing missing teeth, dental implants are also an extremely useful solution to a number of dental issues. Because they are highly durable and built to last a lifetime, patients also benefit from having dental implant therapy to securely hold dentures in place. They are also used in conjunction with crowns, bridges, or veneers to give you the perfect smile you’ve always dreamed of.

Are You a Candidate for Dental Implants?

In general, most people are suitable for dental implants, and we base this on a number of factors. Dr Hui uses the latest technologies to measure issues such as whether you have sufficient bone in the area where the implant is to be placed, along with if this bone has the appropriate level of density.

Throughout your dental implant therapy, our dentists will constantly explain to you what you can expect, as well as update you as to what stage your treatment is at. We never want our patients to feel anxious or uncomfortable, so ensure that we are upfront about every aspect of therapy, including timelines and expected costs.
